By utilizing these common sense, Texas solutions, The Don Al Middlebrook (D.A.M.) Plan for Texas Prosperity can put an immediate end to the hidden tax of inflation that Texans feel in their wallets each time the fill up with gas or take a trip to the grocery stores. Put simply, the higher prices Texans are seeing are a direct result of our federal spending addiction. The crippling effects of a destabilized and debt burdened U.S. dollar, coupled with the United States’ world leading high corporate tax rate, have devastated our manufacturing sector economy. By reenergizing made-in-America in our factories, reigning in our federal debt and embracing an all-of-the-above approach to energy solutions, we can get our country moving forward again.
- Immediately approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline project so long as the project is properly planned and the property rights of Texas landowners are respected. In conjunction with Keystone XL, immediately eliminate all unfair restrictions on the production of both offshore and domestic reserves of oil and natural gas.
- Immediately pass a bill fully repealing Obamacare and rolling back the job-killing regulatory burden established by Dodd-Frank. In conjunction, establish a congressional commission on excess regulation and implement the commission’s proposals ASAP.
- Pass Cut, Cap and Balance legislation sponsored by Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz which cuts the current spending and deficit, caps the percentage of debt to GDP at a feasible level and enacts a constitutional mandate requiring a balanced federal budget.
- Return lost manufacturing jobs to American soil by providing the irresistible incentive of a 0% corporate tax rate on all manufacturers for the next 10 years.
Since the days when his Great Grandfather, Captain Heard, led the charge against General Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto, Don Al’s family has been fighting for Texas.
